What is Google Structured Data Markup?

Structured data refers to kinds of data with a high level of organization, such as information in a relational database. When information is highly structured and predictable, search engines can more easily organize and display it in creative ways. Structured data markup is a text-based organization of data that is included in a file and served from the web. It typically uses the schema.org vocabulary—an open community effort to promote standard structured data in a variety of online applications.

Easy updating & managing

I had my website designed and built by Petra Webstein (World Wide Webstein) in 2008. Since then we have done many updates to the site to keep up with the latest technology. I was able to do the normal maintenance and adding content as I pleased & in my own time which is important to me.

All the tricky parts were handled by Petra and if there was ever a question or problem she would try to fix it or answers asap. Even when working from overseas. Really pleased!

2. Setting up

Once we established your needs, you will need a domain name and a web host to display your website to the public.

We will setup the content management system on your chosen web server and connect the domain name, we will create the desired email and FTP accounts for you and install the basic software needed.

3. Designing

Designing involves the creating the graphic look of your website. Do you have a branding established, it highly suggest we follow its guidelines. If not, you might have a logo and some preferred colours or some sample websites that you particularly like the design of it.

The design is an important part of the structure for your future website.

4. Content

Content, content, content … we are talking about images, photos, videos, written articles and other information the website will display to your visitors. While the design plays one part in the equation, content is certainly the part that makes it complete. Remember, this is your opportunity to reach your audience.
